Storing web content in a Notes DB.....

Hello,

Is there an easy way to store web content in a notes database and then access it later ? The content would be HTML, images, video, lots of scripts, flash files and Java applets. The idea is to use notes DBs as containers or wrappers for web based training modules but making use of notes/domino NAB security and roles etc.... A seperate DB will acts as the training management system and direct students to modules and courses relevant for them.

Each chunk of training would typically be hundreds of files and some how maintaining the directory integrity is important as well to preserve links..... all student access will be via web. Notes/Domino version 4.6.3.

Any Thoughts ?

hi,

i'm also looking for a nice solution.
the way i do it today is to use a discussion database and
paste the requested content into the body filed.

there is a server task caled InterNotes. It is loaded with this Domino console command:
LOAD WEB

This command creates a download database with the actions to fetch Internet sites. After this you can request URLs trough server and everybody can look at it with NotesClient and web browser.

Initialy this was in use for NotesClients not using TCP/IP but like to access Internet. The database with the downloaded  Internet content was a normal Notes DB so you can apply any ACL  policies you like...

Is this wath you are looking for?
