Quicktime updater

Hiya:

I recently had to do a clean install (OS 8.5) adn I've been getting my sytem back up to speed. I tried the DVD player today and got an error message, but it was an issue I had dealt with before and didn't think it would be hard to fix.....unfortunately the Quicktime automatic updater came up, and because I am a trusting sort and a bit naive I instinctively hit OK (I always do this for Quicktime stuff I know I shouldn't but ....) anyway it did it's thing (very quickly) and now the DVD player freezes immediately on launch.

My question is how can I find out what it installed (no, I didn't even look at the dialogue box that came up) and how can I get rid of it?

Refunding points and moving this to our PAQ database, since Pilate found and added the solution directly.

Well, generally you WANT the latest QT. What i would suggest is updating your DVD player software instead. That should take care of the problem. Get the latest for your system from www.versiontracker.com

I ran the OS 8.6 update and everything is working fine now...so i guess this one's moot.
