OS X file sharing quirks

I have both OS X and 9.1 on my iBook. I am haivng a problem with BBEdit files. I have both versions of BBEdit installed on my machine, one installed in each respective Application folder. My problem is that when I double click on a BBEdit file in OS X it starts to run Classic. Any suggestions?

Do a 'get info' on the bbedit file and in one of the panels youll see options for settting which app to use when opening this file or all files of this type. Select your carbon bbedit.

That would work if I want to do files one at a time, but I have hundreds. I need something like "File Exchange" that lets me assign a file extention to an application.

No, you can set it to use the specified app for ALL files of that type.

YES. Sorry for being so close minded. I assumed this was just like the OS 9 version, but you were right. Boy, does that help my day. Thank you.
