I have a particular problem with Oracle9i running on  SUSE Linux 7.2 with Apache and PHP 4.0.6

The problem concerns Spanish national characters, that  is whenever I try to get a result of a SELECT
statement  by  means of PHP Oci functions (OCIResult)  in  stead  of  some characters I get question marks (?) and also accents are always stripped. The same doesn't happened if I access the database from outside the linux machine.

Is the browser mis-drawing them. Do you need to set the language for the browser?

OK. The problem is NOT in the browser the problem was in the linux server. The NLS_LANG variable was not correctly set for the apache server environment. Now everything works well, but another problems arise. However they concern PHP itself.
