Disable Printer Dialog Box when Printing

Is there any to print from a web page without displaying the printer dialog box.
The company security settings hide the printer settings, so when users try printing from IE an error occurs because the printer dialog box cannot be displayed.
I need to bypass the printer dialog box.

You can use this JavaScript function:

function printit(){
    if (NS) {
        window.print() ;
    } else {
        var WebBrowser = '<OBJECT ID="WebBrowser1" WIDTH=0 HEIGHT=0 CLASSID="CLSID:8856F961-340A-11D0-A96B-00C04FD705A2"></OBJECT>';
    document.body.insertAdjacentHTML('beforeEnd', WebBrowser);
        WebBrowser1.ExecWB(6, 2); //Use a 1 vs. a 2 for a prompting dialog box
        WebBrowser1.outerHTML = "";
    }
}

And call it with a button like this:

<input type=button value="Print" onClick="printit()">

Try this instead:

<html>
<head>
<title></title>
<script language="javascript">
function printit(){
   if (NS) {
       window.print() ;
   } else {
       var WebBrowser = '<OBJECT ID="WebBrowser1" WIDTH=0 HEIGHT=0 CLASSID="CLSID:8856F961-340A-11D0-A96B-00C04FD705A2"></OBJECT>';
   document.body.insertAdjacentHTML('beforeEnd', WebBrowser);
       WebBrowser1.ExecWB(6, 2); //Use a 1 vs. a 2 for a prompting dialog box
       WebBrowser1.outerHTML = "";
   }
}

</script>

</head>
<body>
some text to be printed...<br>

<SCRIPT Language="Javascript">
var NS = (navigator.appName == "Netscape");
var VERSION = parseInt(navigator.appVersion);
if (VERSION > 3) {
    document.write('<form><input type=button value="Print this Page" name="Print" onClick="printit()"></form>');
}
</script>
</body>
</html>
