Hey, got a computer question for you, when I try to run winamp it says a device id has been used that is out of range of your system, how do I fix it so I can get sound back in win 98 and win 2k. none of my sound works. I have not tried reinstalling the sound driver but have installed the newest winamp and still nothing. I was trying to not have to reinstall the sound driver. Is that what I should do? Please help me!!!

Remove whatever is under Sound, Video, and Game Controllers and then reboot. Do this from safe mode (F8 when boting) so that you will see if there are multiples loaded. If there are multiples, be sure to remove all of those entries.
