Hi

I am trying to use the CTX_DDL package - but I cannot get it to work in SQL*Plus.

I have tried e.g.:

SQL> begin
  2  ctx_ddl.crate_preference('STEM_FUZZY_PREF', 'BASIC_WORDLIST');
  3  end;
  4  /
ctx_ddl.crate_preference('STEM_FUZZY_PREF', 'BASIC_WORDLIST');
*
ERROR at line 2:
ORA-06550: line 2, column 1:
PLS-00201: identifier 'CTX_DDL.CRATE_PREFERENCE' must be declared
ORA-06550: line 2, column 1:
PL/SQL: Statement ignored

I don't know much about Oracle, but I know even less about packages.  How do I make e.g. the CTX_DDL package available?

Check presence of InterMedia (or ConText) cartridge installed on Oracle Server and enabled in deatabase instance. CTX.. packages arent default implemented on Oracle server.

How do I check whether the InterMedia (or ConText) is present on the Oracle Server - and whether it is enabled?

I have tried to see the installed packages with DBA Studio, and InterMedia or ConText was not present.  How do I make them present?

1.Start up the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant by executing dbassist
2.Select [Modify Database].
3.Slect the appropriate database SID from the list of those detected.
4.Choose the options you wish to enable from the list.
5.Click the [Finish] button.

More You can see in Oracle Installation Guide.
