Theyre just one pixel lines spaced one pixel apart...and they fade slightly at the ends...I get the feeling you should read through the manual, get a feel for the tools, and then attempt some of these things. Theyre really pretty rudimentary when you know what tools Photoshop has to offer.

Answer is as above. Its just a single pixel line spaced one pixel apart.
