- Memory size ?
- Erase all files in your tmp or temp folder ( c:\windows\temp ...)
- Use scandisk and defrag tools on your harddisk. Reboot...

Note : Lotus Notes need a large amount of ram ( 24 to 32 Mo ). No enough memory and your computer crashs.
Are you using Notes R5?
What version of Notes are you using?

thank you for all your response. i current using lotus notes ver 5.0a running in windows 98 2nd edition RAM : 64 MB. processor speed pentium III 800 mhz. if it still crash what should i do??? thank you for all your time and have a nice day
5.0a are you sure ? very old version ... not reliable ...

Try to use Lotus client 5.06a or 5.07x ...
When you use Lotus 5.0x close everything (word,excel)... or add more memory ... 128 Mo will be better ...
New version is 5.07a.
