OCR software - reports into spreadsheet data
Can anyone recommend a program that will take the old, fan-sheet type printed reports (page by page) and scan them accurately into an Excel spreadsheet?
I've tried demos of FineReader, Presto, WinOCR and Imaging Professional - can't find demos of Omnipage or Textbridge. The ones I've tried recognize text fine, but can't handle currency figures that use commas (eg: $1,200). They export to Excel, but Excel doesn't recognize them, even when you format the cells manually.

OmniPage Pro works like a dream! No problem whatsoever with commas. I've scanned, formatted and input 20 pages of printouts, getting up to a page every minute or two. Once the grid is laid out, if the report follows the same pattern, you just OCR and go.
Now, I just have to get the company to pay for my new productivity.
