OCR software - reports into spreadsheet data

Can anyone recommend a program that will take the old, fan-sheet type printed reports (page by page) and scan them accurately into an Excel spreadsheet?
I've tried demos of FineReader, Presto, WinOCR and Imaging Professional - can't find demos of Omnipage or Textbridge. The ones I've tried recognize text fine, but can't handle currency figures that use commas (eg: $1,200). They export to Excel, but Excel doesn't recognize them, even when you format the cells manually.

I believe that Textbridge is being discontinued, with the combination of capabilities software versions to make the newest Omnipage a good solution for you.

There should be a 15 day demo of an older Textbridge 98  still available to download at:

ftp:/ftp.xerox.com/pub/software/scansoft/tbp98web.exe

Omnipage has posted a notice at

http://www.caere.com/democentral

They now offer a 30 day full refund policy instead of a demo download.

OmniPage Pro works like a dream! No problem whatsoever with commas. I've scanned, formatted and input 20 pages of printouts, getting up to a page every minute or two. Once the grid is laid out, if the report follows the same pattern, you just OCR and go.
Now, I just have to get the company to pay for my new productivity.
