CHTML View And ActiveX Documents

 Hi,

I am using CHTMLview as a convenient activeX document container for a Word document.

The problem is i would like

Does anyone know if this is possible? Or any good resource for creating my own activeX document container

I know GetHTMLDocument returns a IUnknown.

no no! You need to make that a separate class, and stuff it somehow into the activeX...

Sorry About! That DOH!

What i was wanting to do is drill down through the CHtmlView to get the ActiveX Document it display.  I.E i want to automate the word document it displays.

I don't know exactly, but the path would be....

IUnknown -> QI for IHTMLWindow2

IHTMLDocument2 = IHTMLWindow2.document

Then you need to figure out which of the HTML elements is the Word server - probably the easiest would be

IHTMLElement = IHTMLDocument2.activeElement

IHTMLElement --> QI for IHTMLObjectElement

IUnknown * WORDOBJECT = IHTMLObjectElement.object

yikes... but live is easy, and probably there are some extra tricks involved...
