I would suggest you use MS Flexgrid, for unbound data entry.

emoreau,
The user has asked for data entry using Datagrid, IMO, the q.link does not seem to deal with it.

the link is talking about appending fields to a recordset. this recordset can then be bounded to a grid. isn't it the problem?

Well, you mean to say that, navin need to append fields to recordset, and then he/she can edit the unbound columns in datagrid. :)
