I have upgraded my system from RH6.2 to RH7.1.
My thread appliction which was running on RH6.2 fails to run on Rh7.1 and while running on RH7.1 it says core dumped and   segmentation fault.

when the core is debugged the error message says that

"cannot find userlevel thread for LWP2156:generic error"

But  the same appln runs smoothly on RH6.2,

This problem is being faced only after upgradation of the m/c, pls let me know whether i have forgotten any RPM's installation.

Thanks for all the help

I believe this is a documented problem with glibc (rh-7.1), and the easiest way to deal with it is to update to glibc-2.2.2 in which the problem has been fixed.
