Hi,

I have a problem with one client computer.  Everytime that someone install a software or device, and then reboot the computer.  It crashed and shows a lot of different character and the word: WININIT.EXE  in textmode.

I cannot logging to Windows 98, but what I do is to boot with a floppy (startup) disk and then enter to c:\windows and erase the file wininit.ini.  When I open that file, it shows the last changes or the programs installed.

McAffee do not detect it.  I have all the new dat files.

I need suggestions to kill totally the virus or is a windows 98 problem now.  Maybe because it was affected for all kind of viruses before, specially sircam.

thanks and regards,

nc
