I want to uninstall WMP 7.01 completely from my system and reinstall.  I keep getting all kind of error messages and I just want to start over with it.  I looked in Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs and Windows Setup and removed it from there (I thought), but it still shows up.

Thanks for the help, but I do not know how to get past the first step (In the %SystemRoot%\Inf folder on the system volume, use a text editor (such as Notepad) to open the Sysoc.inf file.)  I cannot even find the %SystemRoot%\Inf folder.

There are only 3 ways to do this, and stevenlewis gave you the easiest of the three.  I have seen many times here at EE, where an Expert was shot down when the disired answer is not liked, because of difficulty or there is no fix for another situation.

I will change this grade, as it is unfair to the Expert.
