i just want to automate the creation of a dialup connection to a private network.

(so you can go to 'start>settings>network and dial-up connections' and the new connection icon will be ready for use.)

ok ..... ignore the first comment about script.

i'm not bothered how it's done but i want to be able to create a dial-up connection on peoples computers quickly ... i.e., so i don't have to go through the wizard.  So .... for example .... if i wanted to i could put it in a logon script.

jhance - don't be difficult (it's obvious what i'm trying to achieve)

I have never tried this (oh yes, once on NT4...)
Here some help to begin.

Open Windows Explorer
Press F1
Search for "automating dial-up logon process" without the quotes.
You may choose between ths switch.inf script file or Windows Scripting.
This last one is usefull and incorporated in Windows 2000
