Hi,

when i try to add a "trusting domain"(Domain B) to my Domain A, it prompt me the error message "The domain can not be contacted".  What could be the problem ?

If i try to add a "trusting domain" Domain B to my Domain C, there is no problem.

The following are the environment setup
Domain A is win2k Advance server
Domain B is a NT4 SP6a domain
Domain C is a win2k standard server

Thanks

I couldn't ping the domain but i can ping the IP address

so from each of the servers , you can ping the other server?

Commented:
did you try to do this from the workstation? it's best to do this stuff on the servers themselves. this way you avoid possible client problems

svdamme,

I try this at the server.

how are your domains physically and logically connected

Commented:
It's a wins issue, make sure you have wins running.
Commented:
Back level clients (Win95, 98, NT) require wins to operate properly. That is why you can ping the IP address and not the host name. You must enable (configure) wins on the 2000 box.
