I have an application running on a Windows 2000 terminal server with SQL server 7. So a similar configuration as yours will be. My experience with this is that it works like a dream! The application can be written as normal and all my api and ADO work perfectly, to deploy it though I only ever have to install once.

Anyway, your api calls should be fine, Citrix 1.8 is either going to be running on NT4 or 2000 I guess so the api calls will work as you expect. Citrix shouldn't have an effect there. I have not tried running any applications on our citrix server but as my experience on win2k ts has been great I am doubtful as to whether there will be a problem.

For better performance, is it required to use Terminal Services API?.
Have you used Terminal Services API in your application?.
To deploy application in Citrix MetaFrame on Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server,is the setup creation procedure differs from standard one?.
We found the following links for application development standards for Terminal Server
1) http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?
       URL=/library/psdk/termserv/wtsstart_5in9.htm

2) http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?
       url=/library/en- us/termserv/hh/termserv/termserv_5zg3.asp
Have you used these standards for yor application development?
Was there any better perfomace in using these standards?

Have you ever faced any problem in running the application developed without Terminal Services API, in multiuser
environment?
