Hi,

I have a workgroup of 10 computers all running Win95 , 98, Me etc. Is there any "FREE" program avaliable which will allow me to chat with users within the workgroup ? Winpopup is ok but something more or less like MSN Messanger, working on a LAN !!.

Awaiting your reply.

whats wrong with just using MSN messanger on your LAN?  Thats what we do.

Commented:
the thing wrong with msn on a lan is that you need the internet connection to be ON

mirablilis has a ICQ for networks

http://www.icq.com/groupware/
Try this:

ReadPopup 2.2 looks like what you're looking for.

I cannot use MSn and as far as ICQ Groupware is concerned, it needs NT or 2000 server which I do not have and would not like to have.

Will try Readpopup2.2

Thanks

If you want to be ghetto use "net send <compname> <message>"  :)
