A CAB file is a compressed file. It means cabinet. You should be able to open it with WinZip...

A CAB file usually with windows installations .its nothing but cabinet files.we can open it using winzip.I think we can't make sense with these files. These files are just like zip files.
Maybe you could be more specific...have you had any luck opening it with another program?

Well dmoring you are right and somehow my followup question did not get here. When I try to open the cab files inside the chosen program with WINZIP an error box comes up that states.
The cab files signature bytes do not match the microsoft standard set in 1998 (or something similar to that).
If you think you know how to help please do it has made me a little crazy.
u can open a .cab file (MS standard) in IE 4.0+
or in Winzip
