Hi experts !!
I wanna get a Frame or a Dialog displayed Maximized..
I know how to use Toolkit class to screen size.. but, that's not what I want ..

I think this is supported in 1.4 using setState() method of Frame. But it isn't supported in earlier versions.

Assuming you want to do this on a Windows system (or perhaps other desktop) and respect screen space consumed by toolbar, startbar, etc., you have to make native calls. Should you want to do that, I can provide some additional assistance in that area.

As objects indicates, maximizing a Frame to system-specific bounds appears to be supported in JDK 1.4 although it is through the Frame.setExtendedState method. Frame.setState is noted as obsolete but not deprecated. This applies to Frame only, not to Dialog.
