thank you very much for your help.i found the site you referred me to and i downloaded the file divx3.11_alpha.zip...but i can't figure out how to install it. might you be able to help me? i'm sorry for all the bother. thank you again...marylyn

You were right about downloading "divx3.11_alpha.zip", this is what you need. To install it, simply decompress the archive in a given folder and then double click on
"Register_DivX.exe". The codec will now be installed and you should now be able to watch mpeg4 movies with Windows Media Player.

you all have been wonderful, thank you so much. i'm in the fashion business and my friends who are also in fashion think it's strange i'm so interested in fixing my own pc problems. i do have another question if i may...i'm all out of points to ask questions unfortunately, i'm suposed to begin receiving live fashion videos using Microsoft NetMeeting.I've installed the latest version. But the first time I tried using it I got no video. I wondr if there's anyone out thee who could try sending me some video through it to see if it's my NetMeeting set-up or something else?
