I've an StoredProc on an Interbase Database and I'm having
problems to run it. How can I specify the role that has the execute access when running it. When connecting the IBDatabase component there's one parameter to specify the role, but what about an IBstoredProc Component??
Watch Question

The role is active for the current connection session, so if you connect with the role you are acting under that role until you connect with another role.
In other words, a role is a property of a connection, similar to user name.
Therefore, TIBStoredProc only uses the role that was specified in the TIBDatabase.Params when the connection was open.
You can have more than one databases open at the same time; if that's what you need then simply use another TIBDatabase with the desired sql_role_name parameter pointing to the same database, and assign it to your IBStoredProc.Database. If you need transaction control TIBTransaction can be used with more than one database.

TOndrej, the Database I'm using has the sql_role_name set for it. that's what I thought was strange about it. and
the role has the privileges to execute the stored procedure...
