Hi all,
I use the TBatchMove to copy some paradox db(the dbs have password).
After the copy, Why all the target dbs not have password? How to solve it?

hi supwang,

if you want to keep the table as it is,
then do a real-filecopy
(tablename.* would copy the table and all indexes)

Hi meikl ;-)
These have 12 DBs. What is the best way to copy them?
Month1 (including Month1.DB, Month1.PX and Month1.VAL)
Month2 (including Month2.DB, Month2.PX and Month2.VAL)
Month3 (.....                           )
...
...
...
Month12(.....                           )

Thanks, supwang

hi supwang,

best way, and the fastest would be
(either in winapi, or a doscommand) like

copy sourcedir\month*.* destdir\
(dos-command)

tell me about your destination (other name or other dir)?

.px are the primary index files
.x??, y??, .xg?, .yg?are the secondary indexfiles
.val validation-rule files

i will provide later or tomorrow a sample,
using the win-api for copyying files

Hi meikl,
I don't need the code now. I add the password to the dbs after copied.
