Outlook 2002 Unable to display 'Sent Items' folder

I have upgraded to Outlook 2002 over 2000 in Windows 2000. When I try to view the contents of my 'Sent Items' folder all I get is a message saying "Unable to display the folder. The folder is full." I can get round this by doing a search, finding all the files in the folder and then moving them to another folder but this is obviously a silly way to have to do things. The message is there whether there are 0, 2 or 36 items in the folder. Any clues as to what is wrong?

Thanks

Is there still a Repair option in 2002?  Have you tried that?

Yes, I tried scanpst, no errors reported. It still did not work.

Thanks

I have Outlook2k and Office2k, but I have a Repair option on the software.  It is Start-Settings-Control Panel-Add/Remove-Office-Repair.  Try that if it exists for XP.

Try starting Outlook 2002 with the /cleanviews command line switch.

Thanks for the comments. I solved it by finding that Outlook 2002 only likes the format of its original outlook.pst folder. When I substituted that for an Outlook 2000 pst folder to act as the default, that's when I got the error in the sent items folder. So what I did was transfer all the files in the 2000 folder manually into the 2002 folders, removed the 2000 folders, and then renamed the 2002 file to my preferred option. I had to export and import the calendar, and in the process some of the address files were corrupted, but on the whole I now have a functioning outlook. I have no idea whether the /cleanviews command would work, as it is now too late to find out! Thanks, though!
