DAO 3.5 and Windows 2000
We are upgrading our configuration to windows 2000 and need to support an application that utilizes DAO 3.5. The 2000 machines are preconfigured with MDAC 2.5 which only has DAO 3.6
I was able to get the application to run by installing the MDAC that comes with VB6 (MDAC 2.0). Is this an issue.
How much of an impact does this have on the system. And is there a way to get the 3.5 support without doing this.
My first attempt was to move DAO350.dll and DAO2535.tlb into c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\dao.
And to regsvr32 the dll. This did not work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Use DAO360 instead

Gentlemen,
Thanks for replying to my question. Neither of you has given me any solution that I did not already have.
bhess1,
I am going to close this question out because an associate of mine has found a workable solution. Downloading the Jet 3.5 service pack 3 from Microsoft. I will award you some of the points for at least attemting to help.
Thanks

Sorry Casey,
How many points did you want to award to bhess1 again? 50? Just let me know how many, and I will adjust the points to the level you suggest.

Adjusted points to 50. If that is the amount you wish to award, you can simply accept one of bhess1's comments as the answer.
