McAfee refuses to work!!!

I upgraded my system to Windows 2000 (I formatted my system and created an NTFS partition).

Now, VShield in McAfee 5.15 does not work at all. When I boot my system I get an error saying that [a EXE file whose name I don't recall - I will post it as soon as I reboot] has created an error and will be shut down.

In the McAfee console, the System scan, email scan, download scan and internet scan are all disabled. I can not enable them at all.

I just rebooted and I got this "Program Error":

WebScanX.exe has generated errors and will be closed down by Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created.

[ OK ]

I have posted the error logs in the question.

Have you tried to reinstall the program?

Yes. Several times!

I had contacted McAfee and they replied today (after 4 days!!!) that this problem is because of IE6.

I appreciate you trying to help me. I am not using PC-cillin 2000. Though it slows my system down, I am happy with it.

Husain.
User has determined nothing here helped and went own his own.  The question will move to PAQ and points refunded.

Thanks

When I went from Windows98 to Windows ME, I found the same problem with McAfee. I had the latest version of VIRUSCAN for Windows98. But i noticed on the box that it came in, that it did not list WINDOWS ME.

So.... I dumped McAfee and purached Norton Anitvirus and it works fine with Windows ME.

I did find out later that if you are usign McAfee, then you better double check becuase McAfee doesnt run with WINDOWS ME unless it specifically says so on the box when you purchase the software.
