Hmmmm.... I guess you want to keep some sneaky program that is running on your computer from sending/receiving data over the net.

It may not be so simple to do... at least not with 100% security.

I can think of a way that someone might write a simple spy program to sneak pretty much anything into and out of a computer ..even if you were running something like zonealarm... I don't think that firewalls block another exe from requesting a url from your default browser... so in delphi you could use shellapi to request a url like www.myserver.com/wjrhllka.htm   the string 'wjrhllka' could be a password or cookie data from your computer... and after your browser sends the request to myserver.com it will have that string in it's log file :-(  so this means the sneaky program has a way to send data out past the firewall...

It could get data into your computer by doing something like requesting an image using the default browser... like this.. www.myserver.com/sneaky.jpg    sneaky.jpg could contain within it any sort of a data file... and the spy program on your computer could fetch it from the browsers cache and decode it and place the file on your hd :-(

Hmmm... this could be the makings of a pretty awful spy program.... on the other hand maybe firewalls can block this sort of simple code?

... I must be mistaken about all this surely it can't be this simple to defeat a firewall?

thx Gwena, this is a way as you said to pass firewall .and i have a sourcecode about automatic download a exe file from a webpage without any warning. but this not i need:-(

What you need is a port sniffer.
I know of one you can download it comes with a VxD and a DLL, and sample Delphi code. Only trouble is, I can't remember where I saw it....

goto Francois Piette's home page at www.rtfm.be
In the left nav frame, go to Products -> More.
Scroll down in the main (middle) frame, and click
IgnusSniffer.

Scan the downloaded file for viruses, coz once my AV detected a virus.

Enjoy!

WindowsUpdate has new updates for .NET users; Details follow - Microsoft .NET Framework
The .NET Framework is a new feature of Windows. Applications built using the .NET Framework are more reliable and secure. You need to install the .NET Framework only if you have software that requires it.

For more information about the .NET Framework, see http://www.microsoft.com/net. (This site is in English.)

To install the .NET Framework, your computer must meet or exceed the following software and hardware requirements:

Software requirements for server operating systems:
MDAC 2.6
Hardware requirements:
For computers running only a .NET Framework application, Pentium 90 mHz CPU with 32 MB memory or the minimum CPU and RAM required by the operating system, whichever is higher.
For server operating systems, Pentium 133 mHz CPU with 128 MB memory or the minimum CPU and RAM required by the operating system, whichever is higher.
Recomended software:
MDAC 2.7 is recommended.
Recommended hardware: For computers running only a .NET Framework application, Pentium 90 MHz CPU with 96 MB memory or the minimum CPU and RAM required by the operating system, whichever is higher.
For server operating systems, Pentium 133 MHz CPU with 256 MB memory or the minimum CPU and RAM required by the operating system, whichever is higher.

How to use -> Restart your computer to complete the installation. No other action is required to run .NET Framework applications. If you are developing applications using the .NET Framework, you can use the command-line compilers or you can use a development environment, such as Visual Studio .NET, that supports using the .NET Framework.
