TcpMaxConnectRetransmissions for win2k

if you ever have chance to read kb article Q140552 you will note that includes a number of registry keys and suggestions for editing them and that it applies to NT 3.5, 3.51, and 4.0

now one of the registry keys is
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\TcpMaxDataRetransmissions
now i know from q170359 that this setting also applies to win2k

however i am also interested in using the following key outlined in q140552
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\TcpMaxConnectRetransmissions

the nub of the question is - does this setting also apply to win2k?

q140552 can be read at:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q140/5/52.asp

q170359 can be read at:

Thanks, i seem to be just spending points just so you can find things in the KB for me - and i'm a technet subscriber and i get the DVDs every month!  Thanks anyway
Even though I have a complete MSDN subscription, I do my searches online for KBs:
http://search.support.microsoft.com/kb/c.asp

This page is quite useful for such search tasks. Thanks anyways for the points... ;-)
