if you ever have chance to read kb article Q140552 you will note that includes a number of registry keys and suggestions for editing them and that it applies to NT 3.5, 3.51, and 4.0
now one of the registry keys is
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControl Set\Servic es\Tcpip\P arameters\ TcpMaxData Retransmis sions
now i know from q170359 that this setting also applies to win2k
however i am also interested in using the following key outlined in q140552
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControl Set\Servic es\Tcpip\P arameters\ TcpMaxConn ectRetrans missions
the nub of the question is - does this setting also apply to win2k?
