Export Problem  from VB6 on Win2k.

I have a VB6 (SP5) app which uses the SCR8 developer RDC. I can successfully export using the built in export button on the preview form when running the app on a non Win2K machine.

The problem seems to be related to Win2K. The export dialog appears but no export actually takes place. The only type that works is the HTML export.

Can anyone help ?

You should check to see that all the appropriate export .DLLs have been installed on the W2K machine.

I have been in contact with Crystal Decisions who have sent me a CR8 Developer patch. This was a known issue. All files were correctly included.

I have more or less the same problem. when I applied the patch dbexdrvr.zip to CR8.0 it eliminates the option to export to HTML.
I patch it because of the limit of 1000 records per page, but the way it fixed the problem was to eliminate the export to HTML option.

I am closing this question as I previously stated that it was a known bug in Crystal Reports 8.

I'm sure the patch was not the dbexdrvr.zip file but was a patch for the whole developer product.
hi,

i've been having problems when my user tries to export the report into an excel file.  they are using windows xp.  we see the resulting file, but it's 0 bytes.

am i having the same problem you posted here?  if so, do i have to check the presence of the files listed above and then install the patch?

thanks in advance

thanks, sblakeley

where did you get the patch?  is it readily downloadable from crystal decisions, or did you have to call a specific person in order to get it?

This question has been open now for months without a resolution and/or an accepted answer and will be submitted to the Cleanup section for closure.

My recommendation:  PAQ & refund
