Is there any way to have win2k execute a batch file as part of a "Logout script"?  I have a user that needs to update a file that sits local to his machine onto a network share.

POLEDIT is for compatibility with Windows NT 4. In windows 2000, use the following Tool:
Open MMC (Start -> Run... -> "mmc" OK) and add a new plugin "Local Computer Policy". Say OK.
Here you can change whatever you want, it will be applied on the next logon (user settings) or restart  (machine settings).

I hope this helps !
