Again, I've never heard of WindowsXP Millenium Edition, but this might help:
You can join a domain with:
-Windows ME (Milennium edition)
-Windows XP Professional
but not:
-Windows XP Home edition.

There are a few editions of Windows XP,
- Windows XP Home Edition
- Windows XP Professional
- Windows 2002 Server (not released yet)
- Windows 2002 Advanced Server (not released yet)
You can join every version to a domain, except for the home edition.

you want to use file-sharing, or make the Windows XP or Windows ME workstation (which of both??) a client in the domain!?
You can NOT make XP Home Edition a member of a domain, you have to have XP professional for that.
