How do I repair a Paradox Table ?

I have just spent 45 minutes trying to find a Corrupted Paradox Table (actually found 3) and subsequently Repaired them using Paradox 9's Table Repair Utility.

My Question, is there a way to verify and rebuild these tables with the Data Intact, via Delphi ?

I am using Delphi 6 Enterprise, and have Paradox 9 on my pc, but would like to have some table repair utility that can be installed on Users pc's without having to buy and install a version of Paradox on everyone's pc.

If anyone could assist, it would be greatly appreciated.

mnasman,

thanks for the quick response.

Next Question, How Do I use them ?

There are no help files.

When I try to run some of the files (EXES) a message appears re: Unable to locate DLL - something about VCL30.dpl

I am using Delphi 6, and would assume that the file above is for Delphi 3 ?????

Hello pjelias

I tested it with delphi6 and it's worked fine with me
try to download these files
TUtility DLL
http://www.borland.com/devsupport/bde/files/tutil50.zip
and
Paradox Table Repair with Delphi source

mnasman,

have downloaded all the files, and ran the app (tutil32d ??), seemed a bit dodgy in that it seemed to work sometimes, and the verify worked even though the progress bars only went part way (sometimes less than half).

I then ran a rebuild on these tables, which then verified correctly ??????

I am chasing up other utils, I was hoping to find something that could run either within my app, or as a standalone, that would basically be automated, that is check an entire directory/alias and fix corrupted tables accordingly.

Thanks
