OWA and NT Challenged Response

On my exchange server 2000 I have OWA utilizing NT challegned response for logins.  It works fine with about 97% of all clients in and out of the network however I have some computers that never ask for the domain name when you try to authenicate into the server.  Thus no domain name in Internet Exploreer you can not login to OWA.  On the machines that are doing this I reset all of the internet options back to defaults and this did not fix the problem.  Does anyone know what this could be.  Thanks JB

This does work but why are only specific machines doing this?  Is it a setting?
Are these clients already logging into another domain?  We have this from clients on an old domain they have to type domain\alias to log in to Web Access.
