Comparing Objects between 2 separate instances

I need to compare objects from 2 separate instances,
is there any straight foreward way to do this?

On the simple side, if it's practical, I'd consider using "exp" on both objects.  Oh, and I'm assuming you mean a table.  A simple tool like "diff" or "windiff" can then show you differences.  That's the simplest way to do this.

There's also a great tool I've used posted at the Oracle Magazine web site, which compares all the tables in the schema against another schema, via a database link.

Oops.  I gave you the wrong link.  THat was a follow-up article about comparing data inside two tables, I think.

Which database - guess that was for Oracle.
