converting realvideo files to avi/mpg/mov, etc?

hi, i got tonnes of realvideo files, but the quality isnt so good, and i hate realplayer.  so i want to convert the files to something else.  i havent found a program that can do such marvels!  even that adobe thingy doesnt work.....

any suggestions?

First off youre NOT going to increase the quality of the realvideo files by converting them to something else. You cant squeeze blood from a stone. Secondly there arent many converters for realvideo films because realvideo is a proprietary format owned by Real Media and they dont want you to be able to edit them without THEIR software which isnt free. If you do by chance find an editor that will convert their format its probably an unlicensed and illegal part of the program. Good luck.

well i know the quality wont increase i dont know why i even said that....grrrrr...but i was told quicktime editor does do so.

As far as i know, even the QT editor doesnt edit or even open RealMedia files. Only RealPlayer will play RealMedia.
