TNMSMTP with userid and password

I'm using TNMSMTP to connect to an SMTP server, but this server needs not only the userID, but also a password. How can I do this, since TNMSMTP doesn't has a place to inform the password?

Can the password be within the userID, like "userID@Password" or something else?

Thanks

SMTP doesn't use password. They are pop-smtp servers. So you have to check your email first and then send the email. Say you have an account at server X and first you have to connect and check your emails then you can send email from there. Again SMTP protocol doesn't use password but they can restrcit IP's and some protocols. If you want to send email to someone@mydomain.com then try to connect mydomain.com's mail server. Todo so you need to know what it's mx record. It is very complicated.

You can use Indy's Idsmtp componet if you use DELPHI6.0
see the demo in demos\indy\mailclient\maildemo.

I developed a send mail routine using IP*Works, since I didn't have Delphi 6 on August, 2001. Now I'm using Delphi 6, so your solution is acceptable (despite the delay :-)

Thanks, anyway.
