There are a couple of options available to you.

1.) Go pay someone $900 for a socket (vcl) implementation that supports SSL.
2.) Attempt to decipher Microsofts SChannel security interface and create a wrapper for it.
3.) Use the OpenSSL toolkit, which was kindly wrapped in a Delphi package by Jan Tomasek

If you opt for the third, which is what I did a few months ago when my project required SSL support, then you can pick up the zip file at:

http://mujweb.cz/web/tomasek/myssl/download/

Jan has created classes that implement SSL socket support, and has also provided a few examples. In my situation, I was using the winsock API (blocking) and I just plugged in the required calls and everything ran great. The API calls and information for them can be found at www.openssl.org.

Hope this helps,
Russell
