Hey guys, I need to show the progress of an action query on a progress meter. I know that when I run these queries a progress meter shows on the status bar but I can't figure out how to pass values to a progress meter while these are running and to show the total records processed. If need more info let me know.

Short answer is that you cannot.  There is simply no way to do it with standard Access queries.

So what your saying is that I have to create a record set and loop through it rather than using a query.

Yes.  Once an action query is started, Access takes over.  Your code suspends execution at the line that opens the query, so there is no way to run code to update a status display.  Also, Access does not provide any feedback from the query on it's current point in the process.
