120 day Evaluation

I am trying to install the 120day evaluation copy of win2000pro from my Technet CD. It is asking for the Product Key and I can't find it anywhere in my Technet folder or in the knowledge base. Where can I get this key from.

Note I need an answer inside the hour, or it will be of no value as I will be getting a copy of the full product later today, I am trying to get it installed before then.

There was a little note in Feb. technet cd (piece of paper - not a file.)

Only one problem, as my technet subscription was organised by my assistant 3 years ago, I have no idea of the phone number used at the time, so I can't get onto the MS site.

Any idea how one gets past this? I find it impossible to keep track of the dozens of bits of paper sent be these companies. I must be registered on a hundred different sites by now, and can't get to any of them.

I have everything except the phone number. I then got on the phone to MS support here in Aus. They state categorically that Microsoft cannot (will not) support the evaluation copy in any way shape or form. As this has now gone on for most of the day and my whole intent was to spend today setting up this PC, it has all become a bit pointless.

As I said above, it really annoys me that the companies that promote the speed and efficiency of doing things electronically require you to keep track of little bits of paper. Hardly the paperless office ideal is it.

I will award you the points as you did try to assist me, the problems were of my own (or my assistants) making.
