I Have Created an Organisation Unit in Active Directory, called People where i have some users - I can search for the People using the Adress Book and i can access the Directory by using IADs Object from Visual Basic.

I can also browse the Directoy by using Active Directory Browser  - when I point to a user in this application it gives my the following ADsPath:

  LDAP://Radar.com/CN=c,OU=People,DC=Radar,DC=Com

 - but why cant I use the above path directly in Internet Explorer I get the message "There are no entries in the directory service yhat match your search kriteria"

Please Help me set up my Computer so I can access the Directory via Internet Explorer

Regards

Kim

Do you have a sytems event log error?
See here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/planning/activedirectory/manadsteps.asp

This MS TID is for using LDAP but it may help if you have AD configured wrong:

I do not get any errors in the event log

I can sucessfully search the Adress Book for Entries in Active Directory - but not when i use Internet Explorer

To me it seens like both the tools for Active Directory (when i see the adslpath) and Internet Explorer are using the same protocol (LDAP) - so why does it act different ??
