Error each time I go into a 16bit Application

Using Window 2K/SP2.

I installed Norton System Works 2001. Then I went to Add/Remove Programs and removed it. But apparently it still left stuff over. Every time I go to a 16 bit application I would get this error about c:\progra~\symantec\s32evnt1.dll which didn?t even exist. So I went to the Registry and Removed everything related to Norton/Symantec since I have no other programs by them anyway. Now when I got to a 16 bit application I get this error:

SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDrivers. VDD Virtual Device Driver format in the registry is invalid. Choose ?close? to terminate the application.

HELP HELP !!!!

Try deleting the VDD out of the registry altogether. As a matter of fact if the VDD is the only entry under VirtualDeviceDrivers then try deleting it. Before doing any of this backup your registry first. You may need to reboot for it to take affect.
