Is there anyway I can put a .xls file from Microsoft excel onto a .html file using dreamweaver. It is a table of statistics and would like it to come out looking the same on html. Is there a way to do it or would I have to start a new table from scratch using Dreamweaver.

No. Not easily. You start from scratch and copy/paste. It's not going to look the same no matter what you do. This isn't a spreadsheet.

did you try save as webpage or export to html from excel?

Yes your .xsl file as "Save as Web Page",
there is the option to save the whole workbook or the just current sheet only, you can choose the required option and save it as somename.htm.  If u choose to save whole workbook, then it will display in html page also save like in excel... sheets tabs at bottom

Good Luck...:)

I tried to save it as a .html file but there is no option to do so. Is there a add-on I can download or get off the Office 97 cd that I can install so saving as .html will be available?

Well, that's not what they've got, and I suspect they're not going to run out and buy it. ;-)

Occy, start over. Copy/paste the info into Dreamweaver and make it new. Or, if you are pretty sure that everybody who needs it will have Excel, upload the Excel file and just make a link to it. If they're using IE and have Excel, it will open an Excel window in the browser. If they're using Netscape, they'll get prompted for download and can open it in Excel.

And reject ravi's answer, since it's not really an answer anyway.
sorry for that.....:(

agree with webwoman.

Place the excel file into web page folder, then link it directly.
