dualboot unix and windows

i have freebsd installed on a 15 gig slice. this is the primary slice. can i install windows on the other 15gig microsoft extended partition?

I would think there are two possibilities (untested though). Firstly mark the windows slice as the active (boot) partition. Thus you boot into windows by default. You probably need some form of boot loader then in order to dual boot. There are HOWTO's (www.linuxdoc.org) for *linux* which explain how linux and windows can coexist. I would think that the method are portable.

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about FreeBSD boot loader. Worst case scenario is switching the boot flag on your disk before rebooting. Other options may be using a boot disk to boot FreeBSD.
