Passwordprotecting folders in win2000/winME...

Hello folks!
I'm having trouble passwordprotecting folders on my computer. I want to passwordprotect a specific folder on the computer, so you have to enter a password every time you open the folder. Not from a network, but when you fysically are at the machine. I prefer a solution the matches with win2000, but if you have a solution for winME, thats OKAY to!!!
I prefer to use a Ms Windows program/solution, but if I have to use a external prog., thats OKAY to!!!
HELP ME!!!

thanx!!!

And one more for good measure... plus it has a freeware download available.. password and encryption for folders:

"Encryption Plus? Folders delivers automatic on-the-fly encryption and protects your files and folders from being deleted or snooped by those with physical access to your PC. One simple login gives you access to all your encrypted files. When you exit the program, all your files are protected. Includes a time-activated screen lock.

Under 2000, in a domain, you can use encryption. This wont ask for a password - but only the user who has encrypted it will be able to get it out. Not the same thing - but it will stop other people reading off your PC - unless they have your password. Its done on the fly - and you dont have a password to remember. admin can create an unlock key. This is not sharable - only the person who has locked it can open the files. Anything encrypted canoot be comprees & vice-versa

I was hoping for a built-in-function in win2000...
Anyone?...
