NT Domain issues with Unix Samba server?

I am running an HP-UX 10.2 server with samba, and samba has worked FINE for several months.  After a routine power takedown of our NT domain and servers, and Unix servers, (server being in a domain via samba) now windows clients that access the server by \\name cant authenticate, and it sits there retarded.  However, trying the \\IP will authenticate, and work, and *Nix machines can ALWAYS authenticate via smbclient..... any ideas????  I am *THINKING* it could be caused maybe by the PDC or Master browser, but obviously thats just speculation....  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Adam Nielson
