I found this setting once before, but I cant find the setting again.  Maybe its a version issue.  The solution has to work in CF Studio Version 4.5

I want to find the inherent setting of ColdFusion Studio that allows me to indent a block of highlighted code by pressing the <TAB> key, and unindent a block of highlighted code by pressing <SHIFT>+<TAB>.

From what I remember when I found this before is the setting reads something like "Allow Indent with TAB"

I DO NOT want to create a keyboard shortcut or a custom snippet or anything like that.

"default" not "defaust" in previouse message

and if it helps you visualize better:

Indent = Ctrl+Shift+>
Unindent = Ctrl+Shift+<

The "<" and ">" point in the direction the highlighted text will move.

Yes i know what that the default keystrokes for block indenting are CTRL+SHIFT+< and CTRL+SHIFT+>

However, I want to simply use TAB and SHIFT+TAB to accomplish the same action.

1. hit F8 to open the settings menu
2. Select "Editor" from the tree on the left
3. under "Options:" there are a bunch of checkboxes. click the check box labeled "Tab/Shift+Tab performs block indent/Unindent"
4. Press "OK"

See thats what I thought, however the option does not exist on the Settings|Editor|Options in the checkboxes.  So i think that I may have a problem with versioning.

Help|About shows 4.5

Are you running 4.5?

Commented:
This functionality was only added to studio in version 5.0. I suspect that is why you can't find it in the options.

I am running 4.5.1

Go to the Macromedia site and download the latest service pack if you have not already done so. I am going to update to 4.5.2 myself
