Hotmail question/porn spam

Under W98, using Release 6 of Microsoft's browser, I use Hotmail.  Today I just received an email where someone used my e-mail address to send a porn spam to me.  In other words, as far as Hotmail was concerned, I was the sender of an e-mail addressed to me.  Is there any way to prevent this, using Hotmail?  For other kinds of spam, I "block it" and no longer get stuff sent to me from such senders.  Obviously I dont want to "block" myself.
Thanks.

I don't think there is a way to prevent this via Hotmail's address blocking features.  I've found using their "Exclusive" spam filtering does work pretty well, but you need to keep an eye on your Bulk Mail folder in that case for legitimate emails from people who aren't already on your "allowed" list of senders.

If you check your mail using Outlook Express or Outlook, you might be able to create Rules which will divert messages with certain keywords into your trash automatically, for example.

This site offers some helpful info and links.
