By using a POST to the server (if you want to use http) or with ftp connection.

The com.oreilly.servlet package does all this stuff for you pretty much!!

You can get the package and read the documentation from here

http://www.servlets.com/cos/index.html

And read the faq here

http://www.servlets.com/cos/faq.html

And the license on it states that you have to have a copy of this book:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0596000405/jasonhunter/102-7887927-7109765

But that is a GOOD thing too!!  As it is a GOOD book!!
