Hi, I have a question regarding the COM+ application. I run the MSI file and it will automatically install the COM in the COM Services and in the registry it will create another directory with anynomous name (in hash format), the path is as for example
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\Uninstall\directory name({00000409-78E1-11D2-B60F-006097C998E7}).

My question is there any other way to register the MSI without registering the anynomous directory like above example in the registry??

Please anybody give the explaination regarding this matter. Thanks

The MSI is an installation package, and not the file offering COM+ services. Therefore you do not - and cannot - register the MSI file as such. However, if you have the files which are being installed by the MSI and want to manually register them, use "REGSVR32 dllname" to do so.
